By Nancy, who is a true friend of this blog. I'm to say 7 things about myself, and tag 7 others.
First thing: I learned to whistle at the age of 50. Now I whistle all the time, driving people just a little bit crazy.
Second thing: I want to sing harmony in a bluegrass gospel foursome, just for fun. This dream is not even close to coming true.
Third thing: And I want to play the ukulele beside a waterfall on a pristine island in the south Pacific. Also not coming true any time soon.
Fourth thing: I have two quite amazing sons. I don't know what I did to deserve this blessing. Actually, I do know. Nothin' at all! One is a musician, and the other designs stage sets for theater productions.
Fifth thing: Ditto my lovely wife of 30 years. She's a Godsend! I'm really a very rich man!
Sixth thing: My Dad served his country both in Korea and Vietnam, as well as other lesser-known "conflicts." He was really, really neat, and I miss him every day.
Seventh thing: My Mom is a very cool lady. She lived in a cabin without indoor plumbing when she was a little girl. A country girl at heart, now and then she still says things like, "It's rainin' like all git out!" I don't know what that means, but I love her for it.
That's about it. As for tagging 7 others, I think I'll just let that hang. But there you go, Nancy.
