A friend of mine (mentioned a few days back in this post) is going into surgery tomorrow for colon cancer. You can view his CarePages site, where you can see pictures of Miles and Stephanie and track his progress and even leave a message of support! Please pray for my friends Miles and Stephanie.
Stephanie's Update (June 19): Miles had a three hour surgery today to remove the colon cancer, biopsy and to test his liver and also his lymph nodes. The surgeon met with Grant and me when the surgery was over. She said that his liver is clear but he has cancer in his lymmph nodes. We won't know the extent until the pathology and other reports come back. She also said that he will need chemotherapy as part of his treatment. Although he was in recovery a long time we were able to see him around 9:30 pm tonight. Please pray for his continued recovery and protection from infection and his treatment plan regarding the lymph nodes. Best Regards and Blessings to you all.
Stephanie's Update (June 20): Miles had pain management issues but this has now been resolved by a new epidural. We won't know the test results fully until possibly Tuesday when the pathology reports come back. The physician has encouraged us to take just one step at a time with this situation. It is so easy to project ahead and have anxiety. I guess this is true of many areas of life. We are leaning on God who says in Isaiah 41;13 "Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand." Thank you for your prayers and may He be your strength today too.
