Just spent a few moments checking up on some of my favorite bloggers, whom I've been missing for the past 10 days or so. Came across this great post over at Jared Wilson's Gospel Driven Church. Why does this post ring my bell? Because I find in it evidence of the kind of faith I'm after, the kind of faith I wish were mine, and the kind I wish was as common as dirt in the body of Christ. Jared calls the post, "Maybe the most awesome thing I've ever heard."
Same.

i see what you mean.
humbling.
it is a refining that you might be wishing for here.
what do you think?
what happens if we wish for this kind of faith? is it just a given faith...or are we allowed some things to happen to receive it?
maybe we are given the realization and are given the chance to go there.
what do you think about this for your life?
as for the body of Christ...i do not know how many already have the kind of faith in and love for Jesus Christ that one would die for it.
but as i think of dying because of our faith...i guess we really are dying to self every day in this life in Him. but, to die for a friend, to die for Jesus, or a faith in Jesus a physical death. to know that if i went back home and would be hung because of my faith. this post put my perspective in a different place.
as well as the posts of many other believers. you included.
thank you for sharing this.
i im seeing that the word "hung" is not an acceptable choice for this meaning and it should be the word "hanged". i had no experience using this word in writing before now.
