3 Bloggers

A few of blogs I've only recently learned to appreciate (where the heck have I been?). Very worth checking out are:

Brant Hansen's Letters from Kamp Krusty. Brant is funny. Just look at his category-tags at the bottom of each post if you want funny. But just because he's funny doesn't mean he's a clown. Read Unresolved Chicken Soup for the Soul for one of the best blogposts I've ever come across.

Then there's David Hayward's Naked Pastor. David is bluntly honest about the church, which is something we need a whole lot more of. Not negativity, not moaning and groaning, but fearless honesty. I could point you to any number of David's posts for excellent samples of what I mean, but try The Carnage, The Horror, The Freedom. That'll get you started.

I found both of these blogs through Bill Kinnon's Achievable Ends. A thoughtful blogger is Bill. Try Calvin, Hobbes, McCluhan, Green and Church Marketing for one nice example. Which includes the classic quote from my all-time favorite comic strip: "It's hard to be religious when some people are never incinerated by bolts of lightning."

Like David said! Much appreciated. And I just drove around Maine - literally...we were on our way home from Nova Scotia via New Brunswick.

Cheers!
